Can I work for Populii from any region/country?

In general, you can work in any country. However, before starting, you ought to check whether you can receive payment in your country. Please see our terms and conditions for all the information. List of countries where Populii is temporarily not available - Quebec province of Canada, Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk Regions of Ukraine, Sudan, Syria Russia and Belarus.

How do I get my username and password?

You create your own username and password during the registration process. The username ought to be easy to remember. For safety reasons, we recommend a password with a minimum of 8 characters that contains capital letters, lowercase letters, and at least one special character.

How to enable 2-factor authentication while registration?

Install the Google/Microsoft Authenticator app from the Google Play Store/App Store. Scan the QR code using your Authenticator app. Enter the six-digit PIN from the Authenticator app on Populii. Make sure you enter the pin within 30 seconds as you see the code.

Can I create multiple Populii Accounts?

Only one Populii account is allowed per user. In case of multiple accounts for a single user, we reserve the right to close the duplicate accounts.

How many attempts are permitted for completing the ID verification process?

You have a maximum of three attempts to complete ID verification. If all attempts fail or are used up, you won’t be able to verify your identity or receive gig opportunities on Populii. Initial Steps

Why does my score result show “zero percent”?

Some assessments are manually scored by members of our team. Calculating the score can take time. Until then, a score of 0% will appear as a Placeholder.

Can I repeat working on a task?

Currently, assessments can seldom be repeated. If you have a valid reason for repeating (for example technical difficulties or a mistake in the questions/evaluations) please send an email to our support team. They will check the assessment and, if applicable, reset it for you.

Where can I check the total number of attempts available for the qualification assessment?

A notification will pop up on your screen when you attempt to exit informing you of the total number of attempts available for the qualification assessment.

Gigs

Why aren’t there any gigs available for me?

You might not be qualified for the current projects because you have not yet taken the respective assessments or because your score was below the minimum score for the project. The current gigs might only be available for specific groups of users, for example, native speakers or users with special fields of Knowledge.

How much time have I got to complete a task?

The amount of time that you will get to complete a task varies from project to project. However, a countdown timer displays the “Remaining Time” on the work page. You must complete the job before the time runs out, i.e., reaches zero. If this happens the job will be cancelled and will be lost for you.

Do I have to process all the queries that are displayed?

No. You can work on a project for as long as you want, and you can stop at any given time.

Payments

What is Payment Cycle?

Payments will be processed on the second and last Wednesday of each month. Under the bi-weekly payment format, all payments will cover transactions from the last cutoff date up to the previous Sunday. Payments for short-term projects are processed only after the completion of audits. The fortnightly earnings payout dates for the year 2026 are as follows: 1. Jan 26 - 14th Jan & 28th 2.
