Our June Member Spotlight is Galem!
Where are you from?
Presently, I am living in Hyderabad, and I am from Telangana. My family consists of six members. My mother and father are very hardworking people. My younger brother and I are working in Hyderabad, and our family background is in agriculture. We live in a small village with around 100 houses. After completing my 10th class, I stepped out of my village to pursue higher studies in another city. That inspiration eventually brought me to Hyderabad as well. During my college days, I used to do freelance work alongside my studies. I graduated in 2024 and later got the opportunity to join the ATLAS Type 1 Project.
Why are you part of the Populii community and why do you do gig work?
I am a self-motivated person, and I want to become financially independent. I do not want to become another burden on my parents; instead, I want to become a solution for everything they need and dream of.
Presently, I am preparing for a software job. However, after entering the ATLAS Project, I changed my career direction and decided to work on this project full-time. This project has shown me immense potential and inspired me to dedicate myself completely to it.
What are you most proud of (either professional or personal)?
I earn on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to manage my personal expenses without asking even a single rupee from my parents, and that is one of my biggest flexes.
I am also a person who likes to help and give things to others without expecting anything in return.
What advice do you have to share with other freelancers?
Keep calm, work hard, and trust the process.
