At Populii, we value our community and their desire to earn a living as a gig worker. As part of that, learning is incredibly important to us. The more skills our members have, the more opportunities to work the get. That is why we are consistently offering learning series to help will skill building.
As part of our community learning initiatives, we are launching a new beginner-friendly learning series: Python From Zero to Practical Projects
The series is designed for community members who want to start learning programming from scratch, with no previous coding experience required. Across 12 practical sessions, participants will learn Python step by step through live explanations, coding practice, homework, quizzes, and a final practical project.
The course will cover Python basics such as variables, conditions, loops, lists, dictionaries, functions, file handling, error handling, and using simple libraries.
By the end of the series, participants will complete a small practical project such as an Expense Tracker, Student Grade Management System, or Simple Task Manager.
To encourage commitment and practical learning, the best final projects will receive cash rewards:
1st Place: $100
2nd Place: $75
3rd Place: $50
4th Place: $50
5th Place: $50
Top performers will also receive Certificates of Excellence, while committed participants who attend at least 70% of the course will receive Certificates of Attendance.
This series aims to help beginners build practical coding confidence and prepare for future learning paths in AI, automation, data analysis, and software development.
